Near the arty enclave of Ubud sits the spacious and scenic sanctuary that is The Chedi Club.
Check in to The Chedi Club Bali and your family will experience sensational scenery with a hefty slice of kind, Balinese hospitality. Only 10 minutes drive from Ubud, the cultural and artistic hub of the island, The Chedi Club boasts 20 blissful villas and a spa set in a private estate of lush rice paddy fields and immaculately manicured gardens. They’re serious about service here. So much so, that each sumptuously decorated villa is assigned a personal butler who’ll look after you like a family friend. They’ll keep a watchful eye on your kids at the pool and ensure you have everything you need if travelling with babies. They’ll even take you on a local ramble, which offers children a window into real and rustic Balinese villages and farming communities, far away from the tourism of the larger towns.
For You -
It’s the tons of complimentary little extras that make The Chedi Club outstanding. You’re encouraged to raid the mini-bar, dirty laundry is magically taken care of and you’ll be driven anywhere you need to go. Linger over afternoon tea in the open-air pavilion restaurant, (the view is unbeatable,) but for a truly romantic dining experience (sans kids!) book a private dinner under the stars. It will be served by candlelight on your own wooden platform, set out in the watery rice fields.
For Them +
It’s all about the nature here. They’ll love leaping around the rice fields, glimpsing the geckos and chirping frogs. There are swans and fish to feed and a gaggle of ducks trot happily around the estate. Catch a performance of Kecak dance in the hotel’s impressive amphitheatre – children will be amazed at the powerful troupe of chanting dancers. For a fun game, challenge the kids to an elephant hunt -there are dozens of religious statues and carvings dotted around the hotel and grounds and they’ll delight in stumbling across them.
