What was once, literally, a bank is today the Banke Hotel Paris, a stunning and very luxurious family favourite in the heart of the City of Lights.
What was once a bank in an ornately classical building in the heart of the French capital’s Haussmann quartier is, today, a luxury Parisian hotel with 91 rooms. The Banke Hotel Paris retains some very cool features from the original bank such as the counters which now fringe the bar and restaurant but the overall feel of this gorgeous five star space is luxurious yet very family-friendly. The big pull with this hotel, for us, is the fantastic 24 hour concierge service. there isn’t a booking they won’t sort for you, making a family- trip to Paris extremely relaxing.

This is an incredibly opulent looking hotel with its enormous chandeliers adorning every staircase and art collection on-site, but it’s also wonderfully family-friendly so don’t feel you’ve got to leash the little ones just yet. Both the Lolabar and the Josefin restaurant are hip hangouts (lots of ornate detailing and Philippe Stark chairs) but they have children’s options aplenty so you can enjoy some good gastronomy without going anywhere. There isn’t a spa to speak of but the Banke Hotel does offer a gym and Hammam. A valet service is available (always very useful in the centre of a major capital city) and there is even an on-site shoemaker.

The very luxurious and extremely comfortable suites and deluxe rooms are perfect for families, offering everyone plenty of room. There are glass cabinets with pieces of artwork on every floor of the hotel, which always delight the younger guests and, once they are in your room, they can relax with a movie and room service in seriously gorgeous confines. The excellent concierge can arrange everything from restaurant bookings to theatre tickets, activities and even Eurodisney for you. And should your dog be as much a part of your family as everyone, the hotel welcomes small pets.
