The house itself is decorated in a traditional Italian style with heavy wooden furniture, tiled floors, lots of family portraits, and a piano. The pool area and terrace offer several shaded corners where one can shelter from the sun and there are additional shaded seats closer to the house itself. The road to Ganzirri passes close by the villa; some road noise may be audible from the garden (though road noise should not be heard in the villa itself).

For days out, Taormina is a popular seaside resort facing Mount Etna with stunning views and a Graeco-Roman theatre. Messina, the third largest city on the island, has a colourful history and many points of interest including ancient churches and a lovely marina. There are various other attractive towns in the region near this holiday villa, including Tindari and further afield Syracuse, famous for its ‘Neapolis’ (an ancient city with a Greek theatre, quarries, caves and Roman amphitheatre).
