Claridge's London is a Mayfair-must with its exceptional concierge service, stunning luxury accommodation and infamous afternoon teas.

This iconic beauty of a hotel in the heart of London’s Mayfair district is about as good as it gets. Jaw-dropping from the second you walk through the front entrance, the level of service at Claridge’s Hotel is utterly exceptional, the accommodation spoilingly luxurious and the family-friendly facilities top notch. Just a stone’s throw from world-class museums, sweeping parks, endless shopping possibilities and bountiful art galleries found only in capital cities like London, this is a fantastic option if you are travelling as a family. The sumptuous decor and Michelin-starred dining facilities may not smack as family-frendly but, take it from us, you’ll be welcomed with open arms and your little ones (unless really tiny), will never forget staying in a hotel of this calibre. All the rooms are as large and luxurious as one can reasonably expect to find in the middle of London and, whether you opt for a room or a suite, you’ll have plenty of space to breath. Luxury family picnics can be made to order and enjoyed in any of the nearby parks, theatre tickets can be arranged, and family-friendly restaurants suggested and booked for you, all thanks to the impeccable concierge service at Claridge’s Hotel. The Petit afternoon tea for young guests is as beautifully ornate as the infamous adult afternoon teas of this capital city grande dame of a hotel and, being such a beautiful place to check in, you’ll be hard pushed to exit its front doors again until check out.

For You -

If you haven’t experienced the beauty of afternoon tea at Claridge’s we highly recommend it, and the same goes for the culinary genius of Simon Rogan at his Michelin-starred Fera. If an early evening cocktail is on the cards then the Fumoir, a 1930s-inspired intimate and very glamorous alcove is fabulous. If unwinding in a slightly healthier way is what you need after a day in the nearby shopping Mecca of Bond Street then the health spa and club will surely please. You’ll emerge from any one of the calming and very tranquil treatment rooms feeling totally invigorated (Sisley products are the brand of choice) after a massage or facial, or if you want to exercise with inspiration, the health club can arrange one-off personal training sessions to kick start your day. Of course, the hotel will arrange to look after your children while you do all this should you need childcare.

For Them +

Where do we start? A gorgeous gift tote awaits children on arrival, as well their own Claridge’s umbrella, personal bathrobes, slippers, and organic baby amenities in the bathroom. Children’s books and boardgames, magazines and even their own morning newspaper are available. For teeny tiny guests you will receive baby soap and lotion, cots, highchairs and bottle warmers. There is a children’s menu available across all the hotel restaurants or 24 hour room service to choose from and, at times of need, a fully-trained first aider and doctors are on call. If the weather isn’t on side or they fancy a lazy afternoon, the inevitable Nintendo Wii and Gameboy Advance are available alongside an array of games, family DVDs, and family Sky television,
