With an elevated hillside position, La Barella is a rustic, welcoming house decorated in a traditional Sicilian style.

Surrounded by juniper, oak and pine trees, La Barella boasts some excellent, panoramic sea views.

This characteristic property is enhanced by exposed wooden timbers, slate stairs and hand-made tiles, and is decorated in a neutral, light fashion. There are several outdoor seating areas including an attractive covered terrace and a new summer kitchen with covered dining alongside. There is further seating on balconies with dramatic coastal and sea views that stretch out as far as the Aeolian islands on a clear day. The nearest sandy beach is just 2 miles away, whilst there is a rocky beach a little closer.

The attractive town of Cefalu is nearby, characterised by charming narrow streets, a market, churches and baroque architecture, as well as shops, restaurants and banks. Further afield is Palermo (less than 40 miles away); this is the best arrival airport for La Barella. There are tennis courts within 2 miles of the villa and golf within 13 miles.

Though babies and toddlers are welcome there are no facilities specifically provided for them.
