Mr. C Beverly Hills boasts venetian-style hospitality in the Hollywood hills.

The 2011 opening of Mr. C Beverly Hills from the Cipriani Brothers (great grandsons to Giuseppe Cipriani who opened Harry’s Bar in 1913) lives up to its lofty heritage. Children are greeted on arrival with pulpy virgin Bellini’s (adults get the alcoholic variety) and each of the 137 rooms is extremely decadent with private balconies, custom-made Italian furniture and black and white Hollywood prints. Its 12-story stats also make for some spectacular views over LA.

For You -

Rooms are a haven; pristine all-white beds and big soaking tubs can be found in the suites with balconies set with comfy lounge seats. There is a first come first serve car service on hand for short journeys, which is a welcome breather from the heaving LA traffic. Connoisseurs of old school Italian food will find plenty to occupy them in the first floor restaurant which rolls out sure-fire Cipriani classics like Baked Green Tagliolini.

For Them +

Italians are known for their love of children and this sensibility filters through the hotel: staff delight in hosting families. The 4,500-square-foot pool terrace, dotted with asymmetrical tangerine sun umbrellas and plush cabanas is as divine as it is kiddy-friendly. During weekend evenings children delight in the live jazz band that plays in the lobby. On a practical note, under 18s stay for free and both cribs and babysitters are arranged on request.
