The Royal Garden Hotel London is a stunning, extremely luxurious property located on the fringe of Hyde Park that considers children at every turn.

The Royal Garden Hotel London, which celebrates its 50th birthday any day now, is a London icon. And though you may have driven past it a million times after a day shopping on the familiar favourite that is Kensington High Street, you may not have given it much thought. Wedged between the end of the high street where those our age will have frequented Kensington Market as teenagers and the fringe of Hyde Park, it is a tower of luxury, smashing food and lots of family treats. From the moment you step in as a family, the children will adore it. Not only is it obviously very well-located thanks to its central London location (you’re a hop from most galleries, parks and museums here), but the gorgeous rooms will envelope you after a long day trawling the cobbled streets of this capital city. The decor is luxurious but the atmosphere is very relaxed, making this an excellent choice from which to enjoy London as a family.

For You -

You won’t have to come up with ingenious ways to entertain your little ones if you stay at The Royal Garden Hotel, because you’re so well located and the concierge at reception will gladly make suggestions and bookings, where needed. You’ll sleep beautifully (and with plenty of room to breath) thanks to the executive room, which sleeps two adults and two children under 12 with ease. if you don’t opt for that room type then you’ll be guaranteed interconnecting rooms if you check in as a family. Approved babysitters are available if you fancy a night off and cots are there for babies should you need them. And then there is the dining at the hotel. The Park Terrace Restaurant is delightful. It has a formal decor but a very relaxed ambience so children are very welcome and their kids’ menu is one of the largest we have seen. Alternatively, if you opt for room service, there is a children’s menu available, too. And if you decide on a date night or your kids adore Dim Sum, you’re on to a winner. The Min Jiang restaurant on the hotel’s tenth floor offers sweeping views across London and first class Dim Sum to boot.

For Them +

On check in, kids aged 2 – 11 receive their own special key card (it doesn’t have to actually open the room door unless you want it to, but it looks like the real deal and children love it), as well as a very generous backpack loaded with goodies, including a healthy snack bag from the nearby Wholefoods. included is also a very nicely designed card for them to keep that details things to do in and around London, with heavy focus on the area of Kensington, and if you packed really lightly then children can borrow toys from the concierge. Micro-scooters (both for adults and children) can be borrowed also, making neighbouring Hyde Park even more appealing, while the infamous children’s entertainers Sharky and George can be arranged for added excitement.
