Villa Petronella is a short walk from a rocky beach and just a brief drive from sandy beaches. All the rooms are on one level and you can enjoy the sun and the sea views from the pool and panoramic terrace. There’s another dining terrace behind the villa so you can follow the sun or the shade as you prefer, as well as a partially-open conservatory-type room (again with sea views) which tends to act as the heart of the house.

The separate annex in this villa makes it perfect for extended families or friends who want to holiday together yet retain a little space. Slightly further but still easily accessible from Villa Petronella are more sandy beaches at Fontane Bianche. The nearest town is Syracuse, which has plenty to offer in terms of ancient Greek and Roman architecture, restaurants, cafes, markets and shops. Syracuse also has lots of water sports on offer, such as windsurfing, snorkelling and scuba diving.
